Morning Walk

This picture makes me want to cry. She looks so grown up in this stroller, she isn't my tiny, little baby anymore. She has excellent head control but can't sit up on her own yet. But, in this picture she just looks like a big girl sitting up in her stroller, ready to go for a ride.
Well, since my "addiction" post I decided to do something about it and get out of the house and walk. Tyler took the car to work today with the big stroller in the back. So. . . I climbed over all of the junk in the storage shed, pulled out the unopened umbrella stroller, brought it into the house, and put it together. I was DETERMINED to walk today. We really enjoyed the walk. Annagrace didn't make a sound, she was just trying to take it all in. It was overcast and cooler today (notice I didn't say cool, it was coolER) so she didn't have to squint or get too sweaty. We are looking forward to walking again tomorrow.

Pink Robe

This little lady needed her robe to go from her bedroom to the bathtub!

Hello, My name is Candi and I'm an Addict

I've come to the realization that I'm addicted. No, not to drugs or alcohol, but I might as well be. I sit down at my desk at least three times A DAY just to check out every one's blogs. I sit down an additional time to add onto my own. (of course this is during nap times for Annagrace or in the wee hours of the morning) I don't know what it is?!? Why am I so interested in what everyone else is doing with their day? I have plenty on my own plate, but it's not enough, I have to see how busy someone else is. I guess it's my little window to the outside world. Are Moms in Washington, Utah, and Texas doing the same things I'm doing here in Georgia? Are they thinking the same things I'm thinking? It's just too much! I just have to know! Why can't I get addicted to reading Church literature. With the time I spend on Blogs I could have read the whole series "The History of the Church." Or better yet, why not EXERCISE, heaven knows I need it! I think I have an addictive personality. I was hooked on Scrapbooking, but no one else took the time to look at and enjoy them, so I guess this has taken it's place. I like that it's a little more interactive. SO, for my own sanity folks, please post as often as possible, I have to feed my addiction!

"Grandma" Betty

Tonight "Grandma" Betty treated us to dinner. It was very nice to see her and be able to just sit and chat. She came back to the house after dinner to hold and play with Annagrace. She stayed for her bath and fed her the bedtime bottle. We are SO happy that she has moved back to Columbus, we really missed her while she was living in Florida!

Cereal

We are trying just plain cereal now. We at least want to get her used to a spoon. She is doing really well with it. She spits half of it back out but it gets shoved back in with the spoon. Apparently she is getting enough because we are able to skip a bottle feeding when she is spoon fed the cereal.

My Brother

I really enjoyed this weekend. I am so glad that Chuck was able to make it down here for Carol's birthday. I loved spending time and reconnecting with him. Normally, when I see Chuck, he has to be a Husband and a Dad, there is constantly someone needing attention. But this weekend, he was just Chuck, the son and brother. I forgot how much fun he is! I really miss living near by. Tyler also had a lot of fun with Chuck, he's never really had a chance to just hang out and cut up with him.
Thank you for coming! We love you and miss you!

Carol's Birthday Pictures

Click on slideshow to view and download Images

Photo Time

It's not very often that all three kids are in the same spot at the same time. So we took advantage of this time and did family portraits. Mom and Dad's house was a nice backdrop, especially their carpet like grass.

This is my favorite! It captures the moment so much better than the posed pictures. Chuck made a funny comment (of course) that made us all laugh so hard we couldn't keep our eyes open. I'm so thankful for a fun family, where we almost laugh more than we talk.

Mom's "from scratch" apple pie

Swimming

After Carol's Birthday party we headed out to Aunt Brenda's to swim.
I decided, since the water was warm enough, Annagrace could try swimming.
SHE LOVED IT!
She especially loved surfing with Daddy!

Carol's 40th

Happy Birthday Carol

We had a lot of fun today. So many people showed up for Carol's birthday party, it was like a mini family reunion. I think we ended up with a total of 30 guests. We had fun, although, I'm not so sure about our poor little server. Cheddar's was not very nice to us about having a party there, but our waiter was very nice and had to work very hard to keep our group of 30 happy. (They never assigned another waiter to help him, he had to do it all alone.)

I personally want to thank everyone who came today I know it meant a lot to Carol to see all of the love this family has for her. And I was so grateful that everyone took the time to come and support this party, I know it's not always easy to get together, but it truly was an excellent day. We really do have an awesome family and I look forward to more family functions where the Burns can do what Burns' do - LAUGH!

Coming Soon: a link to all of the birthday pictures, thanks for your patience! Love you ALL!!

Uncle Chuck

The first time Chuck has ever seen Annagrace.
He flew in tonight to surprise Carol at her birthday party tomorrow.
It was so sweet to see my Big Brother holding my little girl.

My Crazy Daddy

Today I went to Daddy's shop to get a couple of pieces of wood to hold a wooden dowel to put my ribbons on for my new hair bow business. (wow that's a mouth full) I went in with simple intentions and walked out with this:My Dad doesn't make anything that won't last 1000 years. Don't get me wrong I'm not complaining, I LOVE my new ribbon holder, it is awesome. I just feel bad when I use up his wood and his time. He just loves this stuff, the more wood he can attach to it, the better. The bonus: when I buy more ribbons, he can always build more and they will just stack! Check out the detail on this thing - this latch keeps the dowel from coming out until I'm ready to put more on.

Look what this little 4 month old can do!!

She is already standing on her own. Her balance isn't great and she can't stay too long, but she is getting there!
She loves her reflection - that other baby is so much fun and smiles right back at her.
The only problem . . . she can't taste her!

No stopping her

There is no stopping this girl. When she decides to roll, she doesn't care what is in her way. I didn't get the camera in time to get her trying to turn over. The bar from her play mat was in her way, but she did not care. She worked and worked until she rolled over on top of the bar.

Time for Shots AGAIN!

I was all prepared, no plans, no intentions to do any cleaning, no blogging, NOTHING. Today was shot day and I just knew that Annagrace was going to be fussy again, her leg would swell and be really painful, and she would need my constant attention all day long. I was prepared for a very rough day. I even had Mom come in and go to the Doctor's office with me for moral support. When they stick her with that needle and she screams - I cry! I can't stand for her to be in pain, it just kills me. Well, Mom cried too, surprise, surprise! But that was the worst part of the whole day. We got home and she was happy, just smiling and cooing. She slept a little more than normal, but the rest of the day was okay. If it wasn't for the bright orange bandages on her legs, you wouldn't even be able to tell she had shots today.

Napping with Daddy

Tyler said he was going to go lay down with Annagrace to get her to sleep. He didn't mention he was going to put himself to sleep as well!

Back Tracking

I've decided that just because I didn't start blogging until Annagrace was three month's old, doesn't mean I can't back track and post everything from the begining. To view them, go to the blog archive on the right hand side and click on April, May, and June. I figured, since I don't have time to scrapbook, this will be my substitute for now. And the added bonus. . . everyone can see it, not just the brave people who acutally pick up the enormous scrapbook on the bookcase.

Bob and Sheri

I was on Bob and Sheri this morning. They are a morning talk show, broadcast from North Carolina to stations all over the US. I took Tyler to work this morning so I could have the car today (Truck brakes are out) and on the way home they started their "chat room" on people who let things roll off of their back, they don't let things stress them out.

Start the Insanity

I am so excited to finally be able to show everyone a little of what I've been working on the past couple of weeks. We have worked many, many late nights on this spring hairbow line to have them ready for the mart. There are 58 different styles, three of each (to go to different locations for ordering) for a grand total of 174 bows.
They are the reason for so many posts today, I haven't had time to do it daily like normal, so I'm catching it all up today! I had to keep quiet about the bows until I knew for sure they would actually make it to the Mart.
It started today so I guess I can finally show them. In case you didn't know, the Mart is where the reps for different boutiques and stores go to purchase the items they want to sell in their stores. It is a huge 13 story building in downtown Atlanta with back to back booths full of goodies to be resold. We are praying that I will get tons of orders!! But we are also a little worried, if I get too many orders, how will I get them all made before the January 1 ship date.
Don't be suprised if after next week I don't post anything until January!!

Fingernails

I think this is the worst job I have as a Mom - cutting fingernails. They grow so fast and have to be cut so often. It is so easy to cut her skin in the process, it really does scare me. It has gotten easier now that I use the nail scissors instead of clippers. But it's really frustrating to get them cut in the first place only to find a scratch on her five minutes later because I didn't cut them short enough, or one still has a sharp edge on it.

Crib

Well, she slept in her crib just fine for three or four nights in a row several weeks ago. But, for my own selfish reasons (I couldn't stand being that far away from her) I brought her back into our room in the basinett. Unfortunately she is getting to long to fit in her basinett so we decided we better start transitioning her back into the crib again. She has done really well, the pillow that she sleeps on helps. She slept on it in the basinett, so she doesn't really realize that she is in a different bed because she is on the same pillow. The only problem . . . she is waking up at 4:30 every morning. She isn't hungry, she just wakes up and I change her diaper and rock her back to sleep.

Coordination

She is getting so good with her hands. She will reach up, take the pacifier out of her mouth, hold it out for a while, and then put it back in when she wants it again. She will even take it out of my hand and put it in her mouth. Sometimes I just look at her and say "you must be two already, how do you know how to do all of this?"

She is begining to get curious about Lucy.

Proud Annagrace

She learned how to roll and hasn't stopped rolling since. She doesn't need a toy to entice her or anything. If you lay her down on her back she automatically rolls over.

Happy Birthday

Today is Annagrace's 4 month birthday and Kim's Birthday. The number 16 is very popular in this family. . . . Tyler, Kim, and Annagrace all on the 16th. We celebrated with a cake, no we aren't that crazy, we don't buy a cake every month, we were just really craving a good Publix whipped icing cake and this was a good excuse to finally get one!
Man, how time flies. If I think about it too much it will make me cry. I just want her to stay my perfect little angel forever. She is just growing so fast and is so smart already. I can see the changes everyday, it is just amazing. No job could ever have offered me enough money to go back to work and miss this. It's the little things that happen during the day, when it's just the two of us . . . the sweet little smile when we make eye contact. . . the way she will turn her head (and body) completely around when she hears my voice across the room. . . the way she holds my face and her eyes roll back in her head when I'm kissing her. . . the way her face lights up when I start singing "the itsy bitsy spider" or "the wheels on the bus". . . and her giggle, oh that giggle sends me to the moon.
I anxiously await the next day's discovery and am terrified to leave the cute stage we are in today.

Tired Baby

Heather, Max. Jenn, and Tyson came over for a visit today. Annagrace enjoyed watching those crazy busy boys so much that they wore her out. She conked out in her highchair while watching both of them pitch fits because they were ready for dinner. She can sleep through anything!

BRONCOS

We are so excited, tonight was the first Broncos Preseason Game. And they started the year off right with a 17-13 victory over the 49ers.
Angie and Keith came over for the game and dinner.

Annagrace is the first baby Keith has held for more than five minutes. He did a great job entertaining her, she didn't cry a bit. But, he didn't keep her for long before Angie stole her away.

Lazy Sunday

Annagrace looked so cute in her Sunday dress we just had to take pictures! She loves her Daddy and looks more and more like him everyday.
The joy of my life.
She is just so silly and cute.
I could spend all day everyday just playing with her, and sometimes I do. I'm addicted to her laugh, it is the sweetest sound I have ever heard, and I spend hours trying to get her to do it. She will smile and coo, but the laugh is hard to come by.
It's lazy days like these that remind me how blessed I am that Heavenly Father not only blessed me with a choosen son to be with for time and all eternity but he ALSO entrusted me with this sweet little spirit. I feel so honored to be able to teach and guide her through this crazy world. My cup runith over.

Little Talker

Annagrace is discovering she can make different sounds. When she discovers a new one, she performs it ALL DAY LONG! I can already tell we are going to have a jabber mouth on our hands.

Reading with Mommy

She is just too smart! She not only turns the page, she does it on time.

First Roll

Annagrace rolled over for the first time today,
actually she did it four times!!
I have been filming her a lot trying to catch her first one, but she would never get all the way over while I was filming. As soon as I put the camera away, Ta Da, she rolled over. I will try again tomorrow to capture it. She has been getting really close for the past few days but could not figure out how to tuck in her arm AND her leg. She kept turning her head as far as it would go, tucked and ready to roll, but she just couldn't get the rest of her body to co-operate. She gets frustrated because she has to try so hard to get from her side to her stomach. This is a picture of her during a frustration time.

Daddy Home

Annagrace enjoyed having her Daddy home today. Tyler took the day off to try to get some work done around the house. But with this little cutie, you don't get much done. We end up playing with her instead of working.

Congratulations

We are so excited!!
We just found out that Todd and Kim are having a GIRL!!
We love you and can't wait to meet Reese Roxee Welch!

Second Attempt

Well we tried baby food again, this time it was peaches. We didn't think she actually swallowed any of it. But then she was up every hour, on the hour, last night. I thought she might be teething but after cleaning poop off of her back, that overflowed from her diaper, I realized the peaches must of upset her stomach. So we are going to stick to cereal for another month or so.
