Slip and Slide

While I was recuperating from my Dentist appointment, Tyler set up the new slip and slide for Annagrace.
She didn't really get the concept of running and sliding, but she had a blast playing in all of the water.
Tyler tried to teach her by throwing her down the slide on her belly.

HAPPY FATHER'S DAY!

To the three wonderful Fathers in my life:First of all I was blessed with a wonderful Daddy. A very kind, loving, affectionate man. And now I couldn't have asked for a better "Granddaddy" for Annagrace. She lights up when he walks in the room.
THEN . . . I married this man:

April 16th, 2007
Tyler has always been wonderful with kids and I couldn't wait for him to be the Father of my children. It took a long time to make that dream come true. But, it was totally worth the wait. Tyler is such a wonderful, amazing Daddy. He is so patient and kind. He is happy to play tea party and do all of the girly things Annagrace asks him to do. He reads, he baths, he changes diapers, he cheers when she goes potty, he makes her favorite foods, he watches Mickey Mouse, he knows all of the words to her favorite kids songs. . .
He dances!
First Father's Day And third, I am very thankful for my Father-in-Law. He raised this wonderful man of mine and for that I will be eternally grateful. He has made me feel at home, in the Welch family, since the first time I met them. He is kind and generous and absolutely HILARIOUS. He is Annagrace's proud PAPA! And we miss him so much.
I hope you all have a wonderful day!
I LOVE YOU!

Tyler's Birthday Dinner

We are going to be busy on Tyler's actual Birthday July 16th. So we decided to celebrate a month early! We went to Johnny Carino's. It was delicious and so much fun!
We had to relight some candles so Annagrace could have a turn blowing them out!

Hughston Foundation Picnic

The company picnic was at Callaway Gardens. The flowers were AMAZING!
They had a big bounce house and an inflatable slide. We only did the slide once. The steps were too slippery and difficult for Annagrace to climb alone. And after I clumsily got her up there once, that was enough! She didn't stay in the bounce house long either. Right after she climbed in, a dad got in with his son and she freaked out. She has gone from my extremely outgoing friendly baby - to the most shy, "stranger danger" fearing little girl. I don't know what happened, maybe it's just a "being 2" thing???
They also had a snow cone trailer!
After lunch we had planed to go to the Butterfly Center and then the lake beach. But, we barely made it through the Butterfly Center before she fell asleep. So we drove around the gardens a little and then headed home. It was a nice day (minus the rain!).

What's in your purse?

Well Annagrace keeps stealing my little Coach clutch out of my big purse, emptying it, and collecting all the things she finds needful throughout the day.Like: an apple slice, a pink mini slinky, the top to a little flashlight, an open chap stick, a couple of hair clips, and a "broken" passy.

When I reclaimed it tonight and opened it up. . . I just started laughing.

I'm hungry

for some crafting and decorating!!!
1. I want to make one of these for Annagrace's room:
2. I need to use the paint I've already purchased to finish Annagrace's walls. The pink is a little too strong so I'm going to try to break it up with some brown, green, and purple. But, I can't decide if I should paint a few stripes, big flowers, little flower clusters, flowers growing from the baseboard to chair rail height . . . any suggestions?
3. I'm strongly leaning towards painting my cabinets this color. (What do you think?) I'm just worried about my black appliances with this color.
4. I'm also thinking about a black and cream bathroom??? Or at least paint the vanity black. My walls are pretty close to this color. But, I just bought a new shower curtain that wouldn't go with this color scheme. I do, however, have a Mother who has a guest bath in need of a makeover - I could pass that shower curtain right on over there!

5. And lots of sewing projects: new quilt/cover for Annagrace's bed, jazz up Annagrace's curtains, pillow covers for living room, and our new guest bedroom.

6. I also want to clean out the shed and get ready for a Yard Sale.

I think I'm going to have a busy week off!

Goodnight Call

I called Annagrace last night (from work) to tell her good night. My Mom handed her the phone and said "it's Mommy"
A: Hello Mommy. What's up with you?
C: What?
A: What's up with you?
I started laughing which made her laugh - too cute!
She proceeded to sing to me I Am a Child of God
And then told me the story of Jack and Jill, Humpty Dumpty, Baa Baa Black Sheep, and Mary Had a Little Lamb.
She remembers EVERYTHING you tell her! It's crazy!

Stone Mountain

Carol invited us to join them at Stone Mountain for dinner and the laser show.

My husband, the Giant! We went to dinner at Miss Katie's Country Cookin'. The food was delicious. But, while we were eating I thought I was getting dizzy and asked my Mom if the table was this high when we sat down. Then, everyone else started to notice our table was RISING!!

Poor Annagrace couldn't even see her food!
We visited the candy shop and bought the cutest (and expensive) lolli-pop.

The photo-op was worth the price of the lolli-pop!
The weather was perfect! We enjoyed spending the afternoon outdoors.
Getting cleaned up!
Aunt Carol brought some new books and DVDs for Annagrace.
Once it got dark we kicked back in our chairs and enjoyed the laser show. We had a lot of fun and are looking forward to going again. Next time we will get up there earlier and take advantage of all of the other activities.

Story Time Finale

We went to the end of the year Story Time Extravaganza!
Ms. Tanya read a story then the kids had a blast with all of the activities she set up for them. We rapped up with popcorn and snow cones.
