Kick, Kick, Hooray

Emmalee kicked for the first time today.
I just want to make sure I remember and savor all of these sweet little moments.

Happy Thanksgiving

We went to Aunt Brenda's for Thanksgiving. After lunch we played outside:

Girls, Girls, Girls

We went to Baby Waves today. They handed Tyler the candy bar and this time I didn't see it before he did. He just smiled and opened his hands to reveal our second Mounds bar!
Baby #2 is a GIRL!!!
Our house will be full to the top with ribbons and bows, baby dolls and stuffed animals!

Goodbye

I hate goodbyes in the worst way possible. Living next to an army base means that I get to meet many, many wonderful women who become lifelong friends. Unfortunately no one ever stays here more than three or so years. Today I had to say goodbye to Tabitha. My incredibly sweet, exuberant, talented, outgoing, encouraging, crazy fun friend. I'm really at a loss and tear up every time I think about it. I can't imagine going to church Sunday and not stealing her baby and chatting it up between classes. I can't imagine no more hair appointments where we can talk for hours and never run out of stuff to talk about.
When Tabitha came I was in a huge non-friend slump and she was the answer to my prayers. Not only was she the friend I had been waiting for, she made me come out of my shell and meet more friends.
Oh, I love you Tabitha and will miss you horribly (and your family!) I hope that your family enjoys and thrives in Utah.

Family Picture

(Disclaimer: I know the back row is off center, I didn't realize it until it was too late. Obviously, I couldn't take the picture and be in it. I thought I had arranged everyone, but when we jumped in . . . it just got a little off. I am happy with the overall look and the fact that it is a picture of the WHOLE family!)
And a special THANK YOU to Tyler for his Master Photoshop skills.
Just to prove this was the best of the bunch . . .The scenery - PERFECT! The 30 MPH wind . . . not so much!

Day Three and Four in Idaho

Monday morning we headed down to Logan to see Where the Wild Things Are. And then we hit a couple of stores. On the way back to Downey we picked up Reese and Kim. These two girls were so CRAZY and so EXCITED to see each other. Unfortunately, their favorite activity is alternating screaming at the top of their lungs and laughing at each other. (This is especially bad in the car!)
They both loved reading with Papa.Tuesday we found out that Tim's plane from Tonga was delayed and he wouldn't be getting home until Wednesday. But, we went to Pocatello anyway with Todd, Kim, and Reese. When we got back home we played in the front yard and tied yellow ribbons on the tree for Tim's homecoming.
Tyler was our high limb fetcher.
Our little plumber. I have had the hardest time finding jeans to fit her this fall. They are either too tight on her waist or slide off her butt every time she bends over!
She is collecting flowers for her Mommy. She would run each one over to me and give me a kiss each and every time!

Day Two in Idaho

We took it easy and just hung around the house for the day. Thomas and Tyler took Annagrace to see the horses next door and jumped in her "trampoline" aka planter box.

Enjoying her gummy hotdog.

Day One in Idaho

After being picked up from the airport we went to Grandma Joan's for a visit and lunch. Then drove north to Brigham City to see Grandma Welch. But, stopped on the way at a road side farmers market to get pumpkins.
They had a hay maze for kids.
