We spent the afternoon taking family pictures of the Garners. Max is so funny and he thought Tyler was HILARIOUS!

Raising a Monkey

I think we might be raising a monkey, not a human.
She discovered her feet can help hold her bottle up.

Game Night

This game night was actually on July 13th, before I started this blog, but this was so cute I had to post it. Annagrace was having so much fun playing cards with us, she refused to go to sleep until around midnight.
We had game night with our friends Angie and Keith.

FROG

Annagrace and her prince frog!
She got this huge frog a couple of weeks ago while shopping with Grandmother. She absolutely loves her froggy. When I place him in front of her she immediately starts talking and cooing at him.
Yesterday Heather and Max came over for a visit. Max had fun playing with Annagrace's toys and we all danced to the Wiggles. Max is so cute and silly.

Bottle Holding

Her latest trick (as if she were a dog) is holding her own bottle. Well, I guess I should say TRYING to hold her own bottle. She can keep it supported, but not up enough to always keep the milk in the nipple.
Today was a very fun and rewarding day. We stayed home all day and just played. I put her in the snugli and we danced to the Wiggles together. I danced, she bobbed up and down like a bobble head, arms flailing about. Then she enjoyed her highchair while I baked cookies and acted like an idiot dancing around the kitchen to entertain her. Her smile is just so cute, I just can't get enough. I constantly find myself looking pretty foolish, doing anything needed to get a smile.

FIRST LAUGH

She laughed for the first time today. She has been smiling and cooing for a while, but never a full out cackle. It was the cutest thing ever. Luckily Tyler was already home from work and was able to enjoy this "first" with me. I jumped up and down and cheered. We each called our parents so they could listen to her over the phone. I can't wait to try it again tomorrow!

Highchair

At her last appointment, the doctor said that we can start trying cereal and even fruit and vegetable baby food. Annagrace has been trying to sit up on her own which made me think she might be ready for a highchair. So, we sold our kitchen table and bought a highchair today.
She loved it. She thought it was funny to beat the tray with her hands. She also really liked that her toys were at hand level and closer to her mouth.
She tried baby food for the first time today - Pears.
She didn't like it very much.
I don't think she actually swallowed any of it.
She also got a new toy today that she just loves. She cuddled up with it and fell asleep while we were shopping at Walmart.

She Got Them!

SHE GOT THEM INTO HER MOUTH!
If you look close enough you can see the string of drool from her mouth to her toe.
Drool is our biggest enemy these days. She is constantly drooling and soaking through her clothes. If her clothes are wet against her skin, she will get a little rash on her chest. So, she has now aquired a new accessory for every outfit - the bib. I refuse to buy any more outfits unless there is a matching bib available. (I'm just crazy like that.)

Lucy is still our baby, one of our babies, anyway. She just isn't the center of attention anymore, which has effected her a little. She gets jelous now. When we are talking to the baby, she will come stand between us and try to jump up to get our attention on her instead of the baby.

We had a small wind storm on Friday that snapped the top of the only tree spared by the tornado.

First Paying Gig

I had my first paying photo session - the Dryden family reunion. They were a fun group to work with. But, getting 37 people to ALL look AND smile at me at the same time, was pretty much impossible. In the best shot, I got everyone but Lilly, the baby in front, to look and smile. She was way more fascinated with the grass than me and my silly camera. The gardens in Callaway were the perfect back drop for this beautiful family.

FEET, FEET, FEET!!

Miss Photogenic. Who else looks this cute when they first wake up? Annagrace discovered her feet today and is now infatuated with them. She hasn't gotten them in her mouth yet, but she sure is trying. It is amazing to watch the progression of her physical and mental capabilities. She is getting very tactile. The items that entertained her by sight alone now have to be felt and tasted. She rubs my shirt and my skin and she likes having a hand on my chest while falling asleep. She also LOVES her blankets.
Yes she is under there!
She has to have her face covered with a blanket to go to sleep, which petrified me at first. But if you just put a blanket on her legs she will reach down, grab it, and pull it up over her head. I am constantly moving the blanket off of her face and making sure that she has a little airway, but the next time I look at her, it is already back on her face.
Yesterday we spent the day in Atlanta shopping at IKEA and visited Aunt Carol. It was a long, tiring day for Annagrace. When she got home she wanted to see her Daddy so bad, but try as she might, she could not keep those eyes open.

I can't decide if this is cute or cruel. But either way it is hilarious. It's fishing for a baby! She reminds me of my childhood fishing game. The fish have their months open, you put the fishing rod in a mouth and when the mouth closes . . . YOU GOT IT!

I'm so thankful for this little cutie, I worry constantly that I'm doing everything I need to, to make her the smartest, healthiest, strongest baby ever. My latest worry is the flat bald patch on the back of her head . . . does that mean I'm not holding her enough, not doing enough tummy time, am I leaving her on her back too much and have now caused her to permanently have a flat spot on her head????? There are endless questions and worries. When I told Tyler about this latest problem, he pointed out that he has a flat area on the back of his head AND when I felt the back of my own head . . . Surprise, surprise . . . I have one too!

So, we will see what the next worry is tomorrow!?!?

Tyler's Big 30 Birthday

Tyler turned 30 today! We celebrated with a surprise party.

The party had a Superman theme all the way down to his present- a Superman movie box set.

Annagrace was dressed up for the occasion but slept through the whole party. Today is also Annagrace's birthday - her 3 month birthday! She celebrated by rolling over for the first time from her side to her belly. (I just happened to be taking pictures of her at the time and got a shot of it!)

First Time

Hello, I am so excited that I just discovered this blog site. It is a lot easier than posting information directly to Annagrace's website. So maybe, just maybe, I will be able to keep everything up to date. Tyler is so busy with everything, he doesn't have time to keep her website up to date. So, I am taking the reins, lets see how I do . . . ???

Fourth of July

We started off the holiday with a Pancake breakfast at Chruch and then we headed out to Aunt Brenda's to swim.

Grandmother gave up swimming to hold the baby in the shade. She thought it was a fair trade!
