First Shots

My poor baby, she got her first round of immunizations today. She screamed when they gave her the shots, who could blame her. But then she did really well, smiling and cooing, for a couple of hours. Then, all of a sudden she started screaming, inconsolably, and her leg was red and swollen. I called the doctor and they said it was normal, to use a warm compress. It took me an hour of rocking, singing rock-a-bye-baby, and a warm compress to get her to sleep. I also made sure she had her dose of Tylenol every four hours ON THE DOT. I wanted her to feel the least amount of pain possible.
